Skyride Local in Manchester
On August 2nd 15,000 Mancunians took to the streets with their bikes for the hugely successful Skyride Manchester, with traffic free streets and entertainment, it was a day of fun for all the family.But it’s not just about one day…We want to find more ways for you to enjoy cycling with your friends and family. Skyride Local rides are free, small group rides taking place in and around Manchester every Sunday. Routes are designed to take in points of interest and are led by British Cycling trained Ride Leaders, who are on hand to share their top tips and knowledge with you. With levels from Ride Fun to Ride Strong, there’s something for everyone, check out the September highlights.September 6th – Manchester Uppermill Mossley (Ride Strong) A tough ride on quiet roads, with challenging climbs and surfaces to the wonderful village of Uppermill in Saddleworth September 13th – Heaton Park Circular (Ride Fun / Young Families) A circular route around Heaton Park, cycling on pathways and park roadways - just right for the Ride Fun level September 20th – Moravian Settlement (Ride Fun / Teen Families) An off road circular route, using canal paths and tarmac tracks September 27th - Fallowfield Loop Line / Manchester Cycleway (Ride Well) A flat, well-surfaced old railway line cutting through suburbia on a traffic free route with only 200 yards of the route on road Find out more and register at goskyride.com/local See you Sundays!The Skyride Team
